A Leitchfield woman was arrested for allegedly firing a gun at an occupied pickup truck on Tuesday morning, March 14.

At approximately 10:34 a.m. on Tuesday, the Leitchfield Police Department (LPD) responded to a report of shots fired in the Thomas Street area.

The LPD’s investigation revealed that a female subject had fired a pistol at a Chevrolet S-10 pickup operated by Nathan Embry, according to a news release from LPD Detective Kevin Smith.

A bullet from the gun struck the fuel tank of the vehicle, causing a fuel leak, but no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, Smith said.

33-year-old Jessica L. Geary, of Leitchfield, was arrested and charged with two counts of Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree, in relation to the incident, according to Smith.

She was transported to the Grayson County Detention Center.

The case remains under investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming, the release states.
