Leitchfield Lions Club held its end of year awards meal and program on June 22 at the Centre on Main. After a catered meal, awards for the past year’s services were given, and new officers were installed.
Chevrons will be sent from Lions Clubs International (LCI) on each anniversary to these Lions. The club gave certificates for membership at the meeting as follows:
Five years: Brian Manion, Melanie Manion, Barbara Warfield, and Barbara Cross.
10 years: Stella Haynes and Betty Witten.
15 years: Joe Harris and Aaron Witten.
30 years: Nathan Clark.
45 years: William Thomason.
49 years: William Dean Smith, Aug. 22, 1966.
100 percent Perfect Attendance Chevrons were given to 17 members from one to five years. Those were:
One year: Bill Bartley, Mary Nell Bouvier, Wales Montgomery, Steve Votaw, and Edwin McKinney.
Two years: Gail Schlosser and Kim Smith.
Three years: Brian Manion, Melanie Manion, John Bouvier, Cavaline Votaw, Aaron Witten, and Jason Witten.
Four years: Patty Dudgeon.
Five years: District Governor Betty Witten, PDG Paul Witten, and Barbara Warfield.
