Bucket truck burns in Clarkson

A bucket truck burst into flames on Elizabethtown Road in Clarkson on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 15.

At around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Clarkson Volunteer Fire Department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the 7500 block of Elizabethtown Road in Clarkson in response to a vehicle fire.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a bucket truck engulfed in flames.

The driver, Paul Hill, said he noticed the truck, owned by Holts Communications, had begun smoking behind the seat, so he pulled over to the side of the road where it then caught fire.

Clarkson firefighters extinguished the blaze within around 45 minutes with no injuries reported.

The truck was disabled due to the fire and was removed from the scene by Stevensons Wrecker Service.
