Police responded to a hit-and-run collision approximately six and a half miles south of Leitchfield on Anneta Road (Highway 259 South) Wednesday afternoon, July 15.
According to a report filed by Deputy Tony Willen, with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, a 2013 Honda CRV was travelling north on along the highway at approximately 3:45 p.m. when the incident occurred.
The operator of the Honda, 57-year-old Terry Tarrance of Caneyville, reportedly told Deputy Willen that she met a flat bed truck which was travelling south, and her vehicle was struck by the truck.
The point of impact was the driver’s side rearview mirror, and a window of the vehicle was broken out.
Tarrance reported that she pulled off of the roadway, but when the truck did not stop, she attempted to follow and catch up with it.
Tarrance, who had two passengers with her, including one child, was unable to locate the truck.
