Central Kentucky Community Action Council Inc. (CKCAC) is now accepting nominations for an individual to represent Grayson County’s low-income families on the CKCAC Board of Directors.
A meeting will be held at the Grayson County Community Action office on Friday, July 17 at 1 p.m. to elect an individual to represent Grayson County’s low-income families on the CKCAC Board of Directors.
Individuals who wish to submit nominations are encouraged to do so at the Grayson County Community Action office, located at 125 East Market St. in Leitchfield, prior to the election date.
Nominations will also be accepted at the opening of Friday’s meeting.
The CKCAC Board of Directors meets six times per year, in January, March, May, July, September, and November.
Meetings are routinely held in Elizabethtown, at the Lincoln Trail Area Development District Conference Room, on the third Wednesday afternoon of the month at 2:30 p.m. Mileage to and from the meetings will be reimbursed.
Community Action Kentucky—which consists of numerous Community Action Agencies like CKCAC—seeks to fight poverty and provide social services to Kentuckians with low and moderate incomes, according to www.communityactionky.org.
