GCMS Beta student ranks nationally

Grayson County Middle School 8th grader Brooklyn Glasscock scored among the top 15 in the nation in the spelling competition which took place during the National Jr. Beta Club Convention.

In March, Glasscock competed against other middle school students from across Kentucky at the state convention, where she earned a 1st place finish and secured a spot in the national competition, which was held at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center.

Glasscock competed against other middle school students from across the nation, and placed among the top 15 finishers.

This year, over 10,000 were in attendance for the largest National Convention in history. Beta members took part in team competitions, talent extravaganzas, visual arts showcases, and individual academic challenges.

The National Jr. Beta Club prides itself on developing service, character, leadership, and achievement among its members. Grayson County Middle School currently has 366 Jr. Beta Club members.
