Sassybrown returning to Bluegrass Opry

The Grayson County Bluegrass Opry welcomes the return of the Sassybrown Band to its show on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 6:00 p.m. at the Old Judicial Building at 125 East White Oak St. in Leitchfield. Admission is free. Guests are reminded to use the rear entrance and take the elevator to the third floor.

Sassybrown is a five-member bluegrass band from Evansville, IN that has been performing for over two years at many events in Western Kentucky. The band features outstanding duet harmony and performs a variety of traditional and contemporary bluegrass songs as well as some old country tunes. Band members include Rich Schauer (mandolin and vocals), Lorna Bailey Franke (guitar and vocals), Roger Lucas (bass), Daniel Womble (banjo), and Craig McCarty (guitar).

Other bands performing at the Oct. 15 show at the Grayson County Bluegrass Opry will include Higher Ground, of Bowling Green, Becky & the Butler County Boys, of Morgantown, and Hickory Grove, of Leitchfield.
