KSP promotes two Grayson Countians

The Kentucky State Police announced this week that two troopers from Grayson County have been promoted.

Kentucky State Police (KSP) Sergeants David L. Norris, of Leitchfield, and Brad Riley, of Caneyville, both received their promotional certificates from KSP Commissioner Rick Sanders and John Grate, deputy secretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, on Friday, Sept. 16.

A 20-year KSP veteran, Norris has been assigned to the KSP Employee Assistance Branch in Frankfort. He is the son of retired KSP Trooper David W. Norris and Mary Sue Norris, of Leitchfield.

Riley is a seven-year veteran of the KSP and has been assigned to the Executive Security Branch in Frankfort. He is the son of the late Joe Riley and the late Ella Riley, of Leitchfield.

The KSP Employee Assistance Program Branch provides personal services to agency employees and their families, including stress counseling, spiritual guidance, and referral services.

The KSP Executive Security Branch provides security for the Governor and Lieutenant Governor, their families and residences, and other dignitaries.
