Two Leitchfield men were arrested following a drug raid on a West White Oak Street residence in Leitchfield on Wednesday, Aug. 17.
Following an investigation, the Leitchfield Police Department (LPD) and Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force on Wednesday executed a search warrant at 323 West White Oak St., according to LPD Detective Kevin Smith.
As a result of the executed search warrant, law enforcement seized 625 grams (1.4 pounds) of synthetic marijuana with an approximate street value of $12,500, Smith said.
Also seized from the residence were a small amount of marijuana, numerous prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia, and $1,626 in cash, according to Smith.
As a result of the incident, law enforcement arrested 25-year-old Jackie W. Stephens and 36-year-old William G. Stevenson, both of Leitchfield, on numerous drug related charges.
Both Stephens and Stevenson were charged with Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs; Possession of Synthetic Drugs; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Illegal Possession of Legend Drug, according to Smith.
Stephens was also charged with Possession of Marijuana as a result of the incident, Smith said.
Stephens and Stevenson were both lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
