An Elizabethtown man was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Barrett’s in Clarkson on Friday afternoon, Aug. 5.

At around 3:16 p.m. on Friday, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), Clarkson Volunteer Fire Department, and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the crash scene at Barrett’s, located at 918 Millerstown Rd. in Clarkson.

According to investigating GCSO Deputy Jarrod Mudd, the collision occurred after a silver 2003 Ford Focus ZX5, driven by Dustin Sims, 19, of Elizabethtown, was travelling eastbound on Millerstown Road and turned in front of a white 2014 Ford F-250, driven by Marty Carby, 49, of Big Clifty, and travelling west on Millerstown Road.

Sims complained of pain as a result of seatbelt injuries and was to be transported to Elizabethtown for medical treatment by private means, according to Mudd.

Carby was uninjured.
