GC Republicans to select PVA candidate

Submitted

Due to the passing of Mr. Milburn VanMeter, the Grayson County PVA, an election will be held this November to determine who will hold that position for the rest of Mr. VanMeter’s term. Only those individuals who pass the state administered exam are eligible to be deemed a candidate. Further, of those candidates who pass the exam, only a single Republican candidate will be chosen to be on the ticket for the November Election for Grayson County PVA.

That Republican candidate will be chosen by a vote to be held on Aug. 8, 2016. This is not a public vote. The Republican candidate will be chosen by the officers of the Grayson County Republicans and by the Precinct Committee Members by secret ballot. This process will be monitored by an uninterested out-of-county moderator and shall be administered following Kentucky State law and the Kentucky Republican Party rules. The Republican candidate will be announced on Aug. 9, 2016. Any inquiries about the process may be made by contacting Jaime Bratcher at 502-741-9479 or Jeremy Logsdon at 270-287-0034.
