The Grayson County Hospital District recently set its operating budget for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
During its Thursday, June 2 meeting, the Grayson County Hospital District Board of Trustees reviewed its operating budget for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2017.
The Grayson County Hospital District’s budget for the coming fiscal year reads as follows:
Total revenues are budgeted at $1,400,000 after combining the $1,370,000 budgeted from the general fund and $30,000 budgeted from the debt service fund.
Total expenditures are budgeted at $1,284,880 after combining the $5,000 in expenditures budgeted from the general fund and $1,279,880 budgeted from the debt service fund.
The $1,279,880 in expenditures from the Hospital District’s debt service fund will go toward Hilliard-Lyons 2007 bonds for the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center operating room expansion and Hilliard-Lyons 2014 bonds for further hospital expansion.
The total estimated fund balance as of June 30, 2016 is $3,585,000.
The total projected fund balance on June 30, 2017 is $3,660,120.
In other business:
*The Hospital District elected its officers for the coming fiscal year and opted to maintain the same officer slate: President Wes Basham, Vice President Kendall Clemons, and Secretary Pam Langdon.
*The Hospital District approved the audit engagement letter for its fiscal year ending on June 30, 2016 from Buckles, Travis, VanMeter & Hart.
