Clarkson business 62 Sportsman’s Outlet held its official ribbon-cutting and grand opening on Friday, June 19, and has since seen “a tremendous amount of walk-in traffic” for its unique offerings, said Owner Robbie Higdon.
62 Sportsman’s Outlet, located at 204 Sportsman Loop at the back-end of Midway Plaza in Clarkson, sells primarily overstocked and shelf-pulled/closed out sporting goods, said Higdon.
62 Sportsman’s Outlet currently has numerous sporting goods, including football, camping, baseball, softball, hunting, mixed martial arts, health, physical therapy, and exercise equipment, as well as fishing poles and sparring gear, Higdon said.
All items at the store are currently 25 percent off, and because they are overstocked and shelf-pulled, this discount will continue, Higdon said.
As time progresses, the store will begin stocking vendor items, which will be sold at full price.
Higdon said 62 Sportsman’s Outlet would “love to give 25 percent off everything,” but the store hopes to address a local need by offering vendor items that Grayson Countians likely won’t be able to find anywhere else locally.
“Hopefully, we can take advantage of the lakes,” said Higdon, who explained that starting 62 Sportsman’s Outlet has been in the works for some time.
62 Sportsman’s Outlet is currently open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
