Caneyville High School alumni donated a PA system for the old school/community center this past Monday, April 11.

Bill Evans, an alumnus of Caneyville High School, attended the regular Monday, April 11 Caneyville City Commission meeting to present the PA system on behalf of himself and Marilyn Evans.

The PA system, purchased in January of this year for $1,533, has a life expectancy of around five years.

Caneyville City Commissioner Mike Geary, who has led the effort to restore the old Caneyville School, accepted the donation on the City of Caneyville’s behalf.

“We are very appreciative of the Evans family for their generous donation,” said Caneyville City Clerk Connie Gootee.
