There will be plenty of opportunities for fun in the sun this Saturday, June 27 as Leitchfield Aquatic Center hosts Superhero Saturday and the annual Cardboard Boat Regatta kicks off at Rough River.
Leitchfield Aquatic Center (LAC) attendees will receive $1 off admission if they come dressed as a superhero on Saturday.
LAC will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST on Saturday, and throughout the day, numerous events, such as Mission Impossible and Villain Bowling will be held.
Additionally, a volleyball tournament will be held at 4 p.m., and slushies will be $1.

Also on Saturday morning, the third annual Friends of Rough River Lake, Inc. Cardboard Boat Regatta—in which teams race home-made cardboard boats—will begin at Rough River Lake’s North Fork Campground Beach.
Boat registration begins at 10 a.m., and racing is expected to begin at 11 a.m. Participation in the race is free.
Awards will be given by age groups and teams. They include “Overall Best Decorated,” “Most Entertaining Group,” and “Titanic (Most Likely to Sink).”
Team classes are divided into school, civic, neighborhood, or scout groups; parent and child; open; and ages 50 and up. First place trophies will be awarded to the winners of each class.
