A search of a residence by Kentucky State Police led to the arrest of a Caneyville man on drug charges Thursday night, March 3.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) Troopers Brandon Brooks and Jared Clemons developed information through an investigation that led them to the 400 block of Windy Ridge Road in Caneyville on Thursday, according to a news release from KSP Trooper Jeff Gregory.
There, Brooks and Clemons searched the residence of Wendell R. Embry, 43, of Caneyville, the release states.
Gregory said that, during the search, Embry allegedly attempted to run from law enforcement but was quickly apprehended.
Upon Troopers’ completion of their search, Embry was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense; Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense – (< 2 Gms Methamphetamine); Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (2nd Offense, Methamphetamine); Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree; and Resisting Arrest.
Embry was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center, where, as of Monday, March 7, he remained lodged on a $25,000 full cash bond.
The investigation is ongoing by Clemons.
