The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) responded to numerous thefts from vehicles within the limits and surrounding area of Clarkson and Big Clifty this past weekend (the weekend of Jan. 30).
Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins said items that were taken included car stereos, CDs, radios, medical equipment, CD players, and other items.
“Three deputies worked a total of six thefts from vehicles totaling several thousand dollars,” Chaffins said. “The GCSO would like to remind our citizens to first, keep your vehicle locked at all times when it is parked. Keep valuables out of sight of would-be thieves by placing them in the console, trunk, or glove box. Try to park in a well lit area or place where your car can be seen by others.”
All of the aforementioned items were stolen from vehicles that were unlocked and in plain sight, according to Chaffins.
Anyone with information regarding any of these thefts is encouraged to call the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 270-259-3024.
