Two individuals were injured following a crash on Rock Crusher Hill in Leitchfield on Thursday afternoon, June 18.
At around 2:40 p.m., Leitchfield Police Department (LPD) and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services (GCEMS) personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash in front of Grayson County Collision Center.
Prior to the crash, a silver Chrysler Cirrus, driven by a man whose identity has not yet been released, was travelling toward Leitchfield on West White Oak Street when a white Ford Taurus, driven by a woman whose identity has not yet been released, pulled out in front of it, causing the vehicles to collide, according to responding LPD Officer Justin Dockery.
At the scene, the Chrysler was in a side street, and the Ford had come to a rest in a ditch beside West White Oak Street.
Both the driver of the Chrysler and the driver of the Ford were reported injured as a result of the crash and were transported from the scene by GCEMS to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center to receive treatment, Dockery said.
The extent of the drivers’ injuries was not yet known at the scene. Neither vehicle had passengers.
Additionally, both the Chrysler and the Ford were disabled as a result of the crash and were removed from the scene by wrecker services.
