Grand Jury indicts five

The Grayson County Grand Jury handed down indictments to five individuals following proceedings the first week of January.

James Garrett, 37, of Lashley Street, in Leitchfield, was indicted on nine counts: Two counts of first degree wanton endangerment, second degree criminal mischief, four counts of third degree terroristic threatening, vi0lation of protective order, and second degree persistent felony offender.

Evan D, Ryherd, 19 , of West Main St., in Caneyville, was indicted for receiving stolen property $500 or more, but under $10,000.

James Kerr, 46, of White St., in Leitchfield, was indicted on nine counts: Manufacturing methamphetamine, second offense; first degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, third offense; driving with a DUI suspended license, first offense (aggravated circumstances); possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle; second degree possession of a controlled substance – codeine; prescription controlled substance not in proper container, first offense; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brett M. Stevens, 21, of West Main St., in Caneyville, was indicted on two counts: Third degree burglary, and theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property $500 or more, but less than $10,000.

Roger W. Selle, of Sparta, Ill. was indicted for theft by deception, including cold checks under $10,000.
