LPD releases 2015 activity stats

The Leitchfield Police Department (LPD) this week released its 2015 statistics report, which saw the law enforcement agency log several thousand more activities than it did the previous year.

The LPD logged a total of 29,922 activities in 2015, and, according to Leitchfield Chief of Police Kevin Henderson, this is an increase of about 3,000 from 2014.

The report is divided into numerous categories of activities, which are as follows, accompanied by the total number logged in 2015:

Moving Citations – 1,713

Motorist Assists – 238

Warnings – 338

Calls for Service – 7,536

Special Details – 443

Court – 30

Equipment Citations – 58

Contacts – 15,392

Injury Accidents – 31

Non-Injury Accidents – 359

Fatal Accidents – Zero

Agency Assists – 350

Domestics – 197

Cases Opened – 403

Cases Closed – 62

Misdemeanor Arrests – 315

Felony Arrests – 109

DUIs – 118

Investigations – 321

Escorts – 593

Extra Patrols – 244

MIWs – 26

Alarms – 172

Traffic Stops – 740

Warrants – 113

Summons – 21
