Staff Report

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) and all of its campuses will be closed from Dec. 19, 2015 through Jan. 3, 2016. All offices will reopen on Jan. 4.

Anyone who has questions about enrolling, financial aid or other issues can call the Student Service Center anytime at 855-746-3282 (855-7GO-ECTC). This service is available 24/7/365.

Spring semester starts Jan. 11, 2016. Open registration for current and new students will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5 and Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Students are welcome to register at any time that is convenient to them.

New students should get their applications in as soon as possible and complete their files, including financial aid, which is available to those who qualify. To apply for financial aid, go to www.fafsa.gov. Applications can be submitted online at www.elizabethtown.kctcs.edu/admissions.

ECTC offers full semester 16-week classes, 12-week classes, and bi-term, eight-week classes, in addition to online and hybrid classes. A new Weekend College is being introduced this Spring for students who need the flexibility of attending classes just one day a week, on Saturday. These scheduling options are designed to provide the flexibility that students need to accommodate their work and family schedules. Students can choose from more than 30 career programs or complete two years that will transfer into bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges and universities.

Students who are interested in enrolling in classes at the Leitchfield or Springfield Campuses should call those campuses for an appointment: Leitchfield Campus: 270-259-1540; Springfield Campus: 859-336-1361. At Fort Knox, active duty military may register on a walk-in basis. Non-military students should call 270-706-8858 for an appointment.

Students who register for classes before Jan. 8 must pay tuition and fees by Jan. 8, or their classes will be cancelled. The deadline to pay tuition for 12-week classes is Feb. 4, and second bi-term classes is March 3, 2016. Students can make payment arrangements through the business office.
