Grayson County Schools Superintendent Doug Robinson released the following statement this afternoon regarding “unsubstantiated” rumors of a possible threat to the safety of Grayson County High School students earlier today:
In follow up to the alleged rumor at the Grayson County High School today that there was a possibility of a threat to student safety, the school administration in conjunction with local law enforcement conducted a thorough investigation. The rumor tracked back to a situation that had no validity. At no time was the school on lock down, nor were students ever in any danger. All safety concerns are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. The safety of our students and faculty is always our top priority.
We will continue to communicate with parents, faculty, and community if any further situations arise.
Have a safe and joyous holiday season.
