Employees at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center completed their second annual Festival of Trees on Friday, Dec. 11.
Several departments made and decorated Christmas trees and wreaths which were sold through a silent auction held in the hospital’s lobby. The event raised just under $1,900 with all of the proceeds going to Relay for Life.
The Radiology department had a special reason to participate this year, making their Christmas tree in honor of their dear co-worker Teresa Allen who lost her battle to melanoma this past February.
According to her coworkers, Allen was such a giving and kind-hearted person, and she loved Christmas probably more than anyone. The department thought this would be a perfect tribute to her.
The Allen family and friends helped their tree raise over $700 in her honor. The tree will be delivered and set up for her family to enjoy.
Teresa Allen made an impact on everyone who had the pleasure of working with her. Her coworkers love her very much and will never forget her.
