Fort Knox Federal Credit Union held its first “Welcome Home to Better Banking Backyard BBQ” at its Leitchfield Branch on June 10.

The event was met with tremendous enthusiasm by the Grayson County community and has set the bar high for our expectations for the balance of our summer events, said Michael Bateman, Vice President of Marketing.

Comments from members were very positive.

Members Johnnie and Patti Taybor said, “We love being members and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.”

And Patti Taybor added, “I’ve been a member for over 41 years, and you all have always taken good care of me and my family. It’s important that we’re a part of an organization where we’re a member/owner—not just a customer.”

Member Sabra Dowdy said, “I’m so happy you’re bringing this to the community. This is where I do all my banking I love you guys—you make it feel like home.”

Fort Knox Federal will host 11 more Backyard BBQs at branches from Brandenburg to Danville. The next one will be June 19 at the Pershing Branch on the Fort Knox military post.
