The Grayson County Chamber of Commerce announced this week that Jennifer Newton, owner of Whoop-De-Do Design, has been elected Vice President and President-Elect of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Newton will fulfill the Vice President seat until June 2016, at which point she will take over as President, replacing outgoing President Greg Bernard, of Mid-Park, Inc.

“I am honored to be elected the Grayson County Chamber Vice President/President-Elect,” Newton said. “I truly enjoy working with all the business leaders in our community. I am grateful for this opportunity, and we, as a community, are fortunate to have a Chamber of Commerce encouraging growth within our county. Thanks to all the Board of Directors who nominated me and for everyone’s support. I look forward to serving in this role.”

Newton’s term will be for one year, after which she will serve another year as past President, according to Grayson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Becky Escue.

Whoop-De-Do Design is located at 98 Public Sq. in Leitchfield.
