The Cecilian Bank is getting into the holiday spirit by giving back in a big way this month.
“It’s Give Thanks November,” explained Marketing Officer Kimberly Jackson, “and around the holidays we usually try to do some type of charity campaign because it is when people need it the most.”
This year, the bank has chosen to give the community a variety of simple ways to raise money for the charity of their choice.
The bank will donate $5 to your favorite charity for each of the following:
– On Facebook, like the Cecilian Bank’s page and comment on the campaign photo with the non-profit organization you would like them to donate to on your behalf.
– On Twitter, follow the Cecilian Bank’s page, then tweet your non-profit choice @thececilianbank with the hashtag #TCBgivesback.
– On Instagram, follow the Cecilian Bank, then comment on the bank’s campaign photo with your non-profit organization of choice, along with the hashtag #TCBgivesback.
“If you do all three, you can actually have $15 donated,” Jackson said.
Participation in the Give Thanks November campaign is open to customers and non-customers alike.
Jackson said the decision to use social media was to make it easy to get involved and ensure that people all across their service area could take part.
“We also wanted to open it up to all nonprofits,” Jackson explained.
She went on to say that the hope is that local non-profits will be chosen to help those around our community, but bank staffers have been making sure that the funds are going to the places community members feel are most important to them.
“There was a lady who came in and wanted to donate to the soup kitchen,” she said. “She didn’t have a computer, but we wanted to honor her donation anyway.”
