Police are searching for two men who were caught on camera burglarizing a local Dollar General Store.

The break-in occurred some time after 2 a.m. on Monday morning, Oct. 12, according to Sheriff Norman Chaffins.

Two men wearing masks and gloves forced their way into the Dollar General Store on Anneta Road (KY-259 South) and proceeded to steal “an undetermined amount of tobacco products and other merchandise,” Chaffins said in a Monday morning press release.

In addition to losses from the items stolen, several hundred dollars worth of damage was caused when the men attempted to gain entry into the store and during the several-minutes long escapade inside the store.

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the suspects, and have released images from the store’s security cameras, which captured footage of the assailants.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the GCSO by calling (270) 259-3024.

Detective Dennis Dvorjak is serving as the investigating officer in the case.
