The First Annual Extension Family Farm Fest will be full of family fun and helpful information this Saturday, Oct. 10.

The event is being organized by the Grayson County Extension Service, and all activities and educational sessions are free.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the event will be hosted at the Extension Facility for Research and Education, located just off of Highway 62 on Quarry Road in Leitchfield.

Kids can enjoy pumpkin painting, a straw maze, scavenger hunt and other activities. Extension Agent Natalie Taul said, “The weather should be perfect to be out with the kids on a fall day!”

Among the offerings for adults will be demonstrations, educational sessions, information booths, food, and more.

A pumpkin apple muffin demonstration and tasting will be held from 11:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:45 p.m. until 2 p.m.

A 4-H scavenger hunt will kick off at 10:45 a.m. and again at 1:15 p.m.

Fall lawn care seminars will be hosted at 10:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

For any additional information on this event, feel free to contact the Grayson County Extension Service by calling (270) 259-3492.
