Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center (TLRMC) has been named one of the top “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” in the United States for the fourth consecutive year.

The Leitchfield hospital received this recognition from Becker’s Healthcare, which recently published the 2016 edition of its “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” list.

Becker’s Hospital Review, a national healthcare journal based in Chicago, published the list, and TLRMC was the only Kentucky hospital to be named to the list.

The list features U.S. healthcare provider organizations, such as hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgical centers, and home health agencies, as well as other types of healthcare-specific companies, such as consulting firms, health IT vendors, medical societies, and more.

A version of this list has been published every year since 2011, but this is the third year the list features both providers and non-provider organizations.

Wayne Meriwether, MHA, Chief Executive Officer at TLRMC is excited about the hospital being grouped with nationally known healthcare providers.

“We’re appreciative of this recognition by Becker’s Hospital Review but realize that it wouldn’t be possible without our staff of highly trained medical professionals,” Meriwether said. “They take seriously our mission to heal the sick, relieve pain and suffering, and improve the quality of life for the people in our community. While many hospitals provide excellent patient care, I believe it’s our caring staff that sets TLRMC apart from other healthcare facilities.”

The Becker’s Healthcare editorial team determined the organizations included on this year’s list.

Organizations that submitted nominations were considered, as were organizations that received national, state or local recognition previously earned for workplace excellence, as well as benefits offerings, wellness initiatives, and efforts to improve professional development, diversity and inclusion, work-life balance and a sense of community among employees.

Kimberley Rayls, TLRMC Director of Human Resources, said being recognized as one of Becker’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare is an honor.

“Being named one of Becker’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare is a testament to the wonderful staff at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center,” said Rayls. “Their daily dedication to providing the highest level of service to the community is what separates TLRMC from other healthcare facilities.”

The list is not an endorsement of included hospitals, health systems, associated healthcare providers or businesses, and organizations cannot pay for inclusion on this list.

The full list, including individual profiles of all organizations, can be read from a link on the TLRMC Facebook page and Twitter account, or by going to www.beckershosptialreview.com.
