A healthier you

By Gay Fulkerson, MD

What can I do if I have already failed on keeping my new year’s resolution for a healthier me?

Take each day as a new opportunity to succeed. Don’t look at a long length of time to do well. Look at today and start out each day by saying, “I am going to make good decisions today.”

Take small steps to replace unhealthy food with healthier choices and take small steps to add movement/exercise to your life. You cannot change everything about your diet and lifestyle all at one time and have a high probability of success.

If you need more help, we are having a healthy year seminar at my office on Jan. 19 at 5 p.m. The seminar will include healthy tasty eating and exercises that are simple to add to your daily routine. It should last about 30 minutes or longer if there are lots of questions.

We want to help you be your best in 2016. My office is at 310 South Main St. Leitchfield, KY 42754.
