Experiencing foot pain?

By David Christopher Fuller PT, DPT, MBA - Fuller Physical Therapy

Plantar Fasciitis is a condition that causes heel pain. It is very common in the U.S., affecting more than 2 million Americans per year.

The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue connecting the heel to the ball of the foot, which supports the arch of the foot. You experience pain when you put weight on your foot, particularly when taking your first steps in the morning. Most of the pain is felt in the heel, along the arch, or ball of the foot.

Fuller Physical Therapy will evaluate each patient and design a patient-specific plan implementing stretching and exercises to improve flexibility and strengthen the ankle and plantar fascia. Fuller Physical Therapy will custom fit a shoe insert called an orthotic to minimize foot pronation and reduce stress to the plantar fascia.
