As it kicks off its second season, Nolin Lake Lodge has “revamped” its menu and remodeled for a more specialized experience.
Owner John Kuntz said Nolin Lake Lodge, located at 14088 Peonia Rd. in Clarkson above the Wax Marina, performed better in its first year than expected, but he and his wife, Vanquetia, decided to trim the menu down slightly to make it more specialized, with an emphasis on charbroiled burgers, chicken wings, and platters.
The burgers are prepared in-house, and Nolin Lake Lodge has also begun serving a Philly burger with pure sirloin that is cooked, sliced, and seasoned in the restaurant.
“We have been getting rave reviews from our customers this season,” said John Kuntz.
Nolin Lake Lodge offers a view of Nolin Lake from its dining area, as well as an outside deck that seats 30 people.
In addition to its restaurant, Nolin Lake Lodge also features 10 rooms for guests to stay in while visiting Nolin Lake. All 10 rooms also offer a lake view, and guests have access to a fire pit located right above the lake.
The lodge also offers a pavilion that seats 30 people and a special t-shirt this year.
The dining room has been remodeled, and all of the rooms have been upgraded with new refrigerators, as well, according to John Kuntz.
“We’re expecting a very good season this year in 2016,” John Kuntz said. “We had a great year last year, but this year will be better.”
Nolin Lake Lodge is open from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
