The Grayson County Bluegrass Opry welcomes Honeysuckle Ridge to its stage for the first time ever on Saturday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m. at the Old Judicial Building (third floor) at 125 East White Oak St. in Leitchfield, just two blocks south of the courthouse square.

Admission to the show is free. Guests are reminded to use the back entrance to the building and take the elevator to the top floor.

Honeysuckle Ridge is a relatively new band that was formed recently by some veteran bluegrass musicians from Grayson and Breckinridge Counties. The band has been performing regularly at the monthly BBMA bluegrass show at the Rough River State Park Lodge. Band members include guitarist and vocalist Ricky Paul and his wife, Linda, who plays bass. Bobby Lucas also plays guitar and sings. The banjo player is Wayne Mabe, and the fiddle player is Henry Burch. Margaret Hamilton also assists the band with vocals.

Also performing this month at the Opry show will be the popular local family band, Becky and the Butler County Boys. In addition, Higher Ground, of Bowling Green, and Hickory Grove, of Leitchfield, will be appearing at the Grayson County Bluegrass Opry show on June 18. For more information about the show, call 270-230-9133 or visit the Opry’s Facebook page.
