The Grayson County Extension Office will host a Babysitting Clinic for kids ages 11+ years of age on Thursday, June 8 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Do you feel like you are ready to take on the responsibility of babysitting a little brother or sister? Or maybe you would like to earn some money over the summer?

Show your parents and other adults that you are ready for the responsibilities of babysitting by signing up for the Babysitting Clinic and be trained in babysitting techniques.

What you will learn:

Ø Babysitting Responsibilities: what to expect.

Ø The Business of Babysitting: creative job hunting, accepting a job, and knowing how many is too many.

Ø Understanding Children: ages and stages and behaviors.

Ø Fun with Children: activities, snacks, and toys.

Ø Sitting Safety and Sharing Tool Kits and Portfolios: handling accidents and emergencies.

The Babysitting Clinic is free, but advanced registration is required by calling the Extension Office at (270) 259-3492. A light lunch will be provided.
