EACWC holds bi-monthly luncheon

The Elizabethtown Area Christian Women’s Connection (EACWC) bi-monthly luncheon was held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Stonehearth Restaurant.

54 ladies from Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Hodgenville, Vine Grove, Cecilia, and Leitchfield attended.

The Special Feature was Dee Grizzell and Debbie Smith from CASA. They shared their mission statement, case examples, and the training required to be a volunteer.

Music was performed by Glenda Patterson, Sheila Witten, and Alice Mull.

The inspirational speaker was Mary Eckler from Louisville. Her talk was entitled “The Rest of the Story: How God stretches us in our later years,” sharing how her faith got her through the sudden death of her first husband, a later divorce, to mission work in India dedicating orphanages.

Gifts were given to first time attendees and door prizes were given including a free lunch from Stonehearth.
