GCRTA supports Alliance

Staff Report

Retired Teachers of Grayson County recently visited the Grayson County Alliance (GCA) Food Pantry, making a donation to help feed families locally.

The Alliance Food Pantry services an average of 850 local low-income families a month. In addition to the food pantry, GCA currently runs a backpack food program, furniture program, and annually holds the Repair Affair.

The Grayson County Retired Teachers’ Association (GCRTA) enjoy continuing their close involvement in their community and donate to various groups when possible.

Supporting local agencies like GCA is one way the Retired Teachers of Grayson County give back to their community.

The GCRTA meets bi-monthly. Its next meeting is on Friday, Feb. 12 at Asian Buffet at 11 a.m. If you are a retired public school teacher and would like to learn more about our association, contact President Glenda Goff at 270-259-5970.
