School is out, and the Extension Office has some great summer cooking classes for kids!
The Summer Cooking Savvy class series will be held on Friday mornings in July from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates: July 10, 17, 24 and 31.
Kids aged 12 through 16 are invited to this free series for some summer kitchen fun!
You will get hands-on experience in the kitchen and learn menu planning, knife skills, how to read and interpret food labels, the correct way to read a recipe, the meaning of portion control, and much more! Just imagine how great it would be to be able to prepare a meal for yourself, your family or your friends!
Advanced registration is required by July 8 by calling (270) 259-3492.
All classes are taught by Grayson County Nutrition Education Program Assistant, Robin Felix.
You should park in the back of the building and enter in the ‘West’ entrance door.
