A Leitchfield woman has been cited to court for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs following a one-vehicle accident on Monday, Feb. 10.

Tonya R. Oller, of Bloomington Road, was extricated from her 2007 Jeep Liberty by Grayson County EMS and Anneta Fire Department (AFD) after her vehicle overturned on St. Anthony Road approximately seven miles south of Leitchfield at just before 9:30 p.m.

Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputies Adam Cottrell and Buck Meredith were the first responders to the scene of the accident, and discovered the vehicle on it’s passenger side off of the south shoulder of the roadway.

According to a report filed by Cottrell, the officers could smell a “strong odor of alcohol coming from her person” once Oller was removed from the wreckage.

Oller was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room with multiple possible injuries.

Deputy Cottrell requested that Oller take a blood alcohol test while at TLRMC, but she refused to do so. The report stated that Oller also refused to give officers the name of her vehicle insurance company.

Cottrell gave Oller a citation to appear in court at a later date, stating that he did so because she was being treated for potential injuries.

Deputy Meredith remained at the scene until the roadway was cleared as AFD stabilized the vehicle, which was removed by King’s Towing.
