A Caneyville woman was injured when the vehicle she was driving overturned on Monday, Jan.13.
At approximately 2:14 p.m. on Monday, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Grayson County Emergency Medical Services, and the Leitchfield Fire Department responded to a report of an overturned vehicle at 4000 Shrewsbury Road in Leitchfield.
According to the GCSO accident report, Cortney Elmore, 19, of Caneyville, told police she had been travelling south on Shrewsbury Road when she hit a pool of water and lost control of the 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer she was driving.
Elmore stated to police that the TrailBlazer then left the roadway on the right side, struck a ditch, and overturned before coming to a rest.
According to the accident report, Elmore reported possible leg injuries but was not transported by GC EMS to a medical facility.
Braydn Elmore, 3, of Caneyville, was also in the TrailBlazer at the time of the accident but received no reported injuries as a result of the crash, the report read.
The TrailBlazer, which belongs to Lanette Payton, of Leitchfield, was towed from the scene by Terry’s Towing.
