The final version of the Leitchfield edition of Today in America with Terry Bradshaw has been officially completed, according to Leitchfield Tourism Director Ilsa Johnson.

The five-minute video is hosted by former National Football League quarterback Terry Bradshaw and highlights Leitchfield’s tourist attractions, cuisine, government, healthcare facilities, and industry.

The video also features interviews with Johnson, Leitchfield Mayor William Thomason, Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center CEO Wayne Meriwether, and Darrell’s Lawn and Landscape Owner Darrell Moll.

“We’re very proud of it,” Johnson said. “I think it’s going to be a useful tool.”

Johnson said the Today in America project began one year ago and was funded equally by Leitchfield Tourism, Industrial Development, TLRMC, and the City of Leitchfield, each of whom paid $5,000 toward the project’s cost.

Filming for the project took place in late July/early August of this year, and the episode was completed earlier this month, Johnson said.

Johnson said the official air dates and the stations on which the episode will air have not yet been determined, but now that the project is completed, the City is free to use the video however it chooses.

The City of Leitchfield and Leitchfield Tourism intend to use the video to promote local tourist attractions; Industrial Development intends to use the video to entice industry to set up shop in the city; and TLRMC hopes to use the video to bring in new healthcare providers, Johnson said.
