Lifelong Grayson County resident Daniel Mudd recently joined the Carter Harrell State Farm staff as a licensed insurance agent.
A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Mudd, 36, started working at Harrell’s office on Monday, September 30 after being employed with Houchens Industries for 19 years.
While his first month at State Farm was spent taking the necessary classes to become a certified insurance agent, Mudd said he is now “fully licensed across the board to sell auto, fire, life, and health insurance.”
Before moving to State Farm, Mudd said he worked as Produce Director at the Houchens Industries Corporate Office in Bowling Green.
Now working in Leitchfield, Mudd said he is excited to have the opportunity to work closer to home and spend more time with his wife, Nancy, and two children, Miles and Lucy.
In addition, Mudd said that, despite his many years with Houchens Industries, the work he is doing now as a State Farm insurance agent feels like his calling.
“My goals are to be a contributor to Carter’s business,” he said. “[I like] helping people know that their family and home are protected.”
