Mary Alice Kiper, age 90, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, Kentucky.

She was born on Dec. 4, 1927 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Marvin A. and Ida Florence Young Cravens.

She was retired from the Breckinridge-Grayson Parent Child Center, and she enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles, painting and shopping at peddlers malls; she was a member of the Claggett United Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, David Kiper (Peggy) and Dennis Kiper, both of Leitchfield; two daughters, Chris Dermitt (Roger), of Leitchfield, and Jo Ann Tharpe (Mitchell), of Bowling Green, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jeff and Charlie Kiper, Tina Dermitt Milliner, Brad and Daniel Dermitt, Kristen Tharpe Thornhill, Kim Tharpe Timmer, and Amy Tharpe; 12 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha and Sarah Milliner, Isaac, Brayden and Breanna Dermitt, Alex, Jacob and Jaxon Thornhill, Michael and Molly Timmer and Rhae Kiper; one sister, Barbara Byerline, of Falls of Rough; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. O. Kiper; two sons, Danny and Ronnie; two brothers, John and George Cravens; and one sister, Norma Jean Mangold.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at the Claggett United Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Bro. Garry Watkins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Claggett Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and at Claggett Church from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
