Shirley Basham won first place in the age 4-7 costume contest.

American Legion Post 81 held its annual Kid's Halloween Party on Wednesday night.

In total, 104 children were present to partake in the Halloween fun. Children up to age 12 were able to participate in a costume contest, ring toss, beanbag toss and a coloring contest. Children and adults alike also had an opportunity to guess how many pieces of candy were in a jar to win a prize.

For the costume contest 0-3 years old category: Mya Kerr won first place, Ezamaye Haycraft won second place and Piper Reed won third place.

For the costume contest 4-7 years old category: Shirley Basham won first place, Aryan Coogle won second place and Grace McCrady won third place.

For the costume contest 8-12 years old category: Erica Alvey won first place, Brylee Martin won second place and Skylar Oldham won third place.

The winners of the coloring contest were Kobe Martin, Jerdyn Gomez and Makayla Coogle.
